La-la-la means i♥u

I'd like to fill this page with he♥rts!!! Why? Because it has been...

♥ one
♥♥ two
♥♥♥ three
♥♥♥♥ four
 ♥♥♥♥♥ five
or
♥♥♥♥♥♥ six years

We are not suppose to count, right? Because the immeasurable cannot be measured ^_^
But hey, let's take the "normal" pill of romance. So before I forget, I guess this song already said everything.

 Just The Way You Are
Billy Joel

Don't go changing, to try and please me
You never let me down before
Don't imagine you're too familiar
And I don't see you anymore
I wouldn't leave you in times of trouble
We never could have come this far
I took the good times, I'll take the bad times
I'll take you just the way you are

Don't go trying some new fashion
Don't change the color of your hair
You always have my unspoken passion
Although I might not seem to care

I don't want clever conversation
I never want to work that hard
I just want someone that I can talk to
I want you just the way you are.

I need to know that you will always be
The same old someone that I knew
What will it take till you believe in me
The way that I believe in you.

I said I love you and that's forever
And this I promise from the heart
I could not love you any better
I love you just the way you are.

2012 SFC Covenant Orientation @ Samal

It seems that I am chasing breaths on posting these catch-up entries for the past months(s).
Whew!

BUSY is one of the most abused words we use. And by 'We' I am pertaining to us - working single men and women. We are most of the time caught up with earning money and having fun in between.
Even I, myself is not an exemption to that. Guilty as charged!
I do sometimes run away from my Christian responsibilities. I dodge some of the opportunities and I try to look away whenever I see an invitation coming my way.
I have used so many alibis. I prefer to be have a double-standard Christian life most of the time.

And in spite of my stubbornness, God didn't grew tired of throwing chances for me.
So after how many postponed meetings and plannings... finally we were able to conduct the Covenant Orientation for the Davao North Chapter.

Kuya Leo - our Chapter Head

Group Activities

The working hands & minds behind the activity were not overwhelming.
But as Kuya Leo always tell us, one or two people responding to God's call of service is enough to be grateful for. And so we gave the best in what we can do for the activity. We even have to deliver more than 1 talk session to fill in for the speakers who weren't able to make it.

Prior to the activity, topics for the talks were already handed out. And I personally picked Talk No. 5 - "Being a Christian in the Workplace"

Let me break in a smile here :)

I am not the perfect person for the topic because I am not an exemplary Christian in my workplace. However, I knew that giving out this talk will help me get through the "anger" and "pain" that I experienced in my most-loved workplace. Yes, bad things happened...sad to admit. But turning those events into a lesson is what I want to happen. My mistakes can be an awareness to others and the not-so-many good things I did could be of help as well. I don't intend to lay out all the details here but the bottomline for me as my personal learning are:
(1) I was able to stretch my patience and understanding towards people that I had a hard time dealing with
(2) I was able to keep my mouth shut
(3) I was able to keep a hold of myself to not act due to anger
(4) I was able to accept that I cannot please everyone
(5) I will always be responsible for my actions
(6) Learn to accept weaknesses
(7) Say sorry
(8) Never forget to be kind with the words you say
(9) Listen
(10) Do not be self-centered when it comes to opinions & feelings

I delivered another talk the next day

IN CONCLUSION, the activity was a SUCCESS!!!
Having less participants made the weekend activity more effective because the topic discussions were synthesized into a personal level. Everyone was able to share and participate. We became acquainted with each other.

It was actually my 3rd time to attend a Covenant Orientation and without any bias, I can say that it was the most memorable, relevant, and fun among the three.
Kudos to everyone and to God be the Glory!

on the 6th

October 16, 2012 marked my six years in the company I am working for.
Yeah, I know...six years is quite long and I do feel squeaky old. Haha!

Just to make it an-extra-special-day, we went to the nearest Mall for a snack treat.
There's always a reason to be grateful, to be happy, and to celebrate.
Six years might not be perfect but we just have to look on what matters - the accomplishments, the failures, the bond, the experiences, the lessons... wrap it all together!

Cheers for the gift of work!
Cheers for the opportunity of learning and sharing the knowledge in the workplace!
Cheers for the wonderful people that I  get to work with!
Cheers!!!
